Diversity helps workers and customers to do business freely because majority of customers are comfortable to communicate with people from their own culture. Pacific City Bank a financial company, which is not a diverse bank, has employees from only one culture and this has made way for customers from the same culture to be comfortable to do business with them. Today, college sports are no longer just fun and games; these sports are a business. But this business comes with a price. Arian Foster, a running back from the Houston Texans has recently come out stating that he took money on the side while playing football at the University of Tennessee. Fosters reasoning to why he took money on the side was that he was a college athlete who sometimes had no money to eat, "I really didn't have any money or food at times.. Our stadium had like 107,000 seats; 107,000 people buying a ticket to come watch us play.. We had just won. Signing autographs, taking pictures. Then I walk back, and reality sets in. I go to my dorm and open my fridge and see there's nothing there." (Rockwell) Foster argued that employees should be paid for their work and that he saw nothing wrong in what he did. He states that he was just a college athlete trying to get buy, trying to pay his bills and have food on the table. These college students are working for the schools a s athletes; they are putting their health on the line, providing revenue for the school and are working twice as hard as regular students at the school so they should not be punished for taking what the NCAA considers to be improper benefits. Firstly, in accordance to the rules set by the National Collegiate Athletic Association, also known as the NCAA, an extra or improper benefit can be described as any special treatment or arrangement by an employee or a representative of the institution that provides the student-athlete a benefit that is not given to the other students of the institution and that is not authorized by the NCAA. The rule book goes on to say that ââ¬Å"if the student-athlete receives an extra benefit not authorized by the NCAA legislation ... ...aybe shoes or even a free meal. In conclusion, ââ¬Å"being a student athlete is tough because one represents the school, and the way one carries oneself will say a lot for oneââ¬â¢s self and oneââ¬â¢s school program. Being an athlete is not just playing the game, it is more like a job,â⬠(McCleod). At the end of the day, whatever brings in money should be compensated accordingly, for any business. These student-athletes do not have to receive million dollar contracts but the universities and the NCAA should not punish these students for accepting improper or extra benefits whether it is from fans, employees of the institution, or recruiters. These athletes are not only students, but they are employees to their universities, they do not necessarily need to receive monetary value for their playing but being punished for accepting benefits that they earn and deserve is outrageous.

This article includes soler conjugations in the present and imperfect indicative, the present and past subjunctive, and other verb forms such as the gerund and past participle. Using the Verb Soler Soler is a unique verb for three different reasons: Soler is a defective verb in that it isnt used in all forms. It is rarely used in tenses other than the present indicative, imperfect indicative and present subjunctive, although it can be used with the past participle to form the present perfect. It isnt used in the preterite, future, or conditional tenses, nor in the imperative mood.As an auxiliary verb, it is always followed by an infinitive verb.Soler is a stem-changing verb, which means that when the stem is stressed, the -o changes to -ue. For example, the first-person indicative present form of soler is suelo. Its stem changes follow the same conjugation pattern as mover. Soler Present Indicative One of the most frequent uses of soler is in the present indicative tense. Tà º sueles Tà º sueles trabajar muy tarde. You tend to work very late. Usted/à ©l/ella suele Ella suele ir a la iglesia con su madre. She usually goes to church with her mother. Present Progressive/Gerund Form The gerund verb form can be used as an adverb or to form progressive tenses. This verb form is not very frequently used for the verb soler. Past Participle The past participle can be used as an adjective or to form perfect tenses like the present perfect. Perfect tenses are formed with the auxiliary haber, plus the past participle. Present Perfect of Soler ha solido Ella ha solido ir a la iglesia con su madre. She has tended to go to church with her mother. Soler Present Subjunctive In the present subjunctive there is also a stem change o to ue for all the conjugations except nosotros and vosotros, just like in the present indicative tense. Que yo suela Mi profesor sugiere que yo suela hacer la tarea por la noche. My professor suggests that I tend to do my homework at night. Que tà º suelas La jefa pide que tà º suelas trabajar muy tarde. The boss asks that you tend to work late. Que usted/à ©l/ella suela El padre espera que ella suela ir a la iglesia con su madre. Truth and Goodness in Immanuel Kant and St. Thomas...
Immanuel Kant and St. Thomas Aquinas account for the existence of truth in sharply contrasting ways. Kant locates all truth inside the mind, as a pure product of reason, operating by means of rational categories. Although Kant acknowledges that all knowledge originates in the intuition of the senses, the intelligibility of sense experience he attributes to innate forms of apperception and to categories inherent to the mind. The innate categories shape the ââ¬Å"phenomenaâ⬠of sensible being, and Kant claims nothing can be known or proved about the ââ¬Å"noumena,â⬠the presumed world external to the mind.1 Aquinas agrees that all knowledge comes through the senses, but disagrees with Kant in arguing that categorical qualities do not originateâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦The two views of truth have divergent consequences for ethics. Aquinasââ¬â¢ philosophy produces a tradition of moral clarity that endures to the present, while the philosophy of Kant leads ultimat ely to the cultural relativism and moral skepticism that are widespread in the modern world. For Immanuel Kant, truth is accessible to the mind only because it derives from rational categories already in the mind. Although knowledge begins in the senses, Kant claims, ââ¬Å"besides what is given to the sensuous intuition, special concepts must yet be superaddedââ¬âconcepts which have their origin wholly a priori in the pure understanding, and under which every perception must be first of all subsumed and then by their means changed into experience.â⬠6 The sources of such synthetic a priori concepts are categories inherent in reason, and Kant supplies a table of such categories, including in it: Unity (measure), Plurality (magnitude), Totality (whole), Reality, Negation, Limitation, Substance, Cause, Community, Possibility, Existence, and Necessity.7 Thus, the understanding of any perceived thing as a whole entity, or as having an independent material existence, or as being caused by anything, or as itself the cause of anything has its origin in ration al categories in the mind and is not traceable to any essential quality or state of being that can be attributed to the thing in itself, according to Kant.Show MoreRelatedAnselm s Argument On The Ontological Argument1614 Words à |à 7 Pagesbe thought of. The Portrayal of Women in Homers Odyssey Essay - 1817 Words
Does Homer exhibit gender bias in the Odyssey? Is the nature of woman as depicted in the Odyssey in any way revealing? Upon examining the text of the Odyssey for differential treatment on men and women, it becomes necessary to distinguish between three possible conclusions. One, differences in treatment reflect the underlying Homeric thesis that women are different but equal in nature, Two, different treatment of men and women in the text reflect a thesis that women are different and unequal in nature -- arguments about misogyny fall in here but a host of other interpretive possibilities are possible too. Country choice The Galaxy S7 edge is likely to have a successful run in Monaco subsequent to its launch. The primary reason is that Monaco is some sort of a holiday resort and people are ready to spend a lot of money on new things. Moreover, almost all the people are employed due the neglible population of about 39,000. The growth in employment (public and private region), which changed into 2.7% as at 31 December 2014, and in wages brought about boom of 4.2% in the total extent of wages paid out. There are three primary types of trouble fixing techniques used: routinized reaction conduct, restrained problem solving, and prolonged hassle solving. The prolonged hassle solving technique happens for excessive customer involvement merchandise, wherein clients spend greater time taking into consideration their choice. For that merchandise, a product with robust positioning and recognition is possibly conspicuous. Routinized Reaction Behavior (RRB) and constrained trouble solving (CTS) is used for merchandise with much less customer involvement, in which charge and availability can be extra determining elements than the brand or emblem reputation.
